Extrude Hone Among Exhibitors at IMTS Chicago
Monday, September 12th kicks off the International Manufacturing Technology Show (IMTS) in Chicago, Illinois. IMTS is one of the largest industrial trade shows in the world, featuring more than 2,000 exhibiting companies and 114,147 registrants. This year, Extrude Hone is proud to be one of those exhibiting companies.
We invite you to stop by Booth N-6789 to visit with our experts. It would be great to connect with you to learn more about the challenges your business is facing to see if our solutions can help. Here are just a few things we’d like to highlight that might spark your interest…
Why Visit Our Booth?
Simply put, our experience and process could be saving you time and money.
Abrasive Flow Machining (AFM) was originally patented by Extrude Hone in 1970 and allows us to utilize an abrasive media applied at high pressure to change the surface characteristics of a machined component. This process can work for your component finishing operation even if it is as routine as surface polishing or burr removal or as complex as final shaping of slots, breakthroughs and drilled hole openings.
Besides the historical US born AFM process, at Extrude Hone we are an ECM expert company. This means we’re able to leverage our EMEA and ASIA experience with key customers in the automotive industry in the USA and can do the same for you.
By growing to a global scale, we’re able to support US customers from outside of the US. One of the ways we do that is through our contract shop facilities. This gives customers access to equipment that they just don’t want to invest in due to high overhead. The beauty of this is that it still allows us to deliver quick turnaround time by using our streamline process and NADCAP certification access to all of the technologies that we have.
We have also been working through a MICROFLOW development to help customers meet a more demanding regulation with climate changes posing significant risk to the society. Reducing the fuel consumption and emissions is one of the critical steps in slowing the negative effects of climate change. The result of our process is our Fuel System solution in the form of both MICROFLOW Flow turning and Flow measuring.
